FORCED CONVECTION FILM BOILING HEAT TRANSFER
摘要
An experimental study of film boiling heat transfer from a flat plate to a flowing liquid has been carried out, using hexane, methanol and benzene. Fluid velocities were directed parallel to the plate and varied from 0.76 to 4.6 meters/sec. Temperature differences ranged from 89° C to 258° C.
The measured heat transfer coefficients are shown to agree with predictions based on Berenson's method, provided the most dangerous wavelength parameter is adjusted to account for liquid velocity.
