HEAT TRANSFER IN COMBUSTION CHAMBERS
摘要
Progress in heat transfer over the past 5 years as related to combustion is reviewed with emphasis on the couplings and interactions of these two processes. Work is examined on combustion chambers and furnaces for steam generation, process heating, metallurgical processing, glass-making, magnetohydrodynamic power generation, and
gas turbines, as well as combined combustion and
heat transfer in fluidized beds and internal combustion
engines. Most investigations are found to have only considered heat transfer from a uniform stream of burned gas. However, improved computing machinery and methods are rapidly providing us with the capability of incorporating realistic chemical kinetics and three-dimensional fluid
mechanics in our models. Some of those papers
which represent this trend are identified.
