摘要

The local heat and mass transfer coefficients of horizontal stratified cocurrent flow have been successfully correlated for an extensive data set including the Northwestern data as well as others. The generalized transport coefficient (heat transfer for condensing flow and mass transfer for gas absorbing flow) is proportional to u*, the interfacial shear velocity, and Prandtl or Schmidt number. A mechanistic model of turbulence transport in the liquid phase based on a modified Lamont and Scott model is successful in predicting all the observed features of the correlation. Finally, a procedure is outlined to calculate the condensation rate based on present correlation and bulk flow parameters.
