摘要

The paper describes a procedure for estimating the performance of horizontally tubed refrigeration condensers of specified geometry and inlet flow conditions. The condensing fluid flows within the tubes and air passes over the tubes in local cross-flow. The refrigerant circuit may be overall parallel flow, counter flow or a combination of the two. The circuit is considered as a series of short sections, forming a three-dimensional array within the heat exchanger core. A modified Baker diagram is used to identify the local two-phase flow regime within the tubing, and appropriate correlations are used for the local film coefficient of the refrigerant. The overall performance of the condenser is synthesised from an analysis of local heat transfer.
