摘要

An analysis has been made for steady laminar natural convection on a vertical plate with uniform surface heat flux. Temperature dependence of all the relevant physical properties is taken into account, and the problem is formulated by the Karman-Pohlhausen method revised by the authors. Solutions have been obtained for carbon dioxide at the pressure of 78.5 bar and temperatures near the pseudo-critical point and for spindle oil and Mobilthem oil at the atmospheric pressure. The general characters of the solutions are discussed, and the analytical results are compared with experimental data to show good coincidence.
