摘要

The thermocapillary effect is studied for a thin liquid film falling down an inclined plate and locally heated, leading to deformations as a horizontal bump and lateral waves. Measurements of the free surface deformation by the reflectance-schlieren method were performed for 10% ethyl alcohol aqueous solution. The control parameters are, with their respective range, the Reynolds number (0.25 - 2) and the heat flux density (0 - 2 W/cm2). A three dimensional model has been developed based on the thin layer approximation unlike accounting for the convective heat transfer. A system of three governing equations for non-dimensional film thickness, pressure and temperature was found out and solved numerically in the steady state case.
