摘要

The dimensionless interfacial shape equation, which describes static force equilibrium of surface tension, applied forces and gravity, was set up to calculate the free surface shape of static molten pool. Combined with the dynamic molten flow pattern, the scale shapes were analyzed using splice method based on the shape calculated by static shape model. The effects of laser pulse parameters, laser scanning velocity and surface tension on the scale shape of molten pool free surface were thoroughly analyzed. An experimental investigation was conducted to explore characteristics of welding molten pool during pulse laser process. The metallograph of sample segments cut and rubbed to central cross section was obtained by corrosion to illustrate the behavior of the processing. From metallograph, the detail data of scale shape was measured and the effect of pulse parameters on molten pool was analyzed.
