Optimisation of a longitudinal rectangular fin-wall assembly
摘要
Optimisation of a longitudinal rectangular fin-wall assembly of a given volume subject to a set of geometrical
restrictions was carried out by means of an application developed in the scope of the Network Simulation
Method (NSM). From the partial differential equations of the problem, a network model was constructed. The
optimisation application combines commercially available optimisation software with the PSpice program,
which solves the heat transfer problem. Three characteristic groups of fins were selected and a parametric study
of the optimum performances was made. The results for the steady-state are given in the form of graphics and as
a function of the performance coefficients, reverse thermal admittances.
