摘要

A numerical model for predicting heat and mass transfer in porous medium is presented. The mathematical formulation takes into account both free and bound water flow, and water vapour diffusion in the gas phase. The momentum equations are simplified by employing a Darcy-type of law. The governing differential equations are discretized by a control-volume formulation, and their transient solution is carried out by a fully implicit scheme. Response of a saturated concrete wall during the early stages of drying, which are critical in what concerns the performance of the material, is analysed for two different typical sets of drying conditions. Influence of two parameters, bound water coefficient and convective mass transfer coefficient, respectively, upon behaviour of the wall properties is assessed.
