摘要

An algorithm based on film model is proposed in this work to solve multicomponent mixture condensation problems. The mass transfer flux are localy determined by simultaneously solving a Maxwell-Stefan system of differential equations (Krishna & Standart, 1976) for up to five-component vapor mixtures. Colburn's analogy is employed for calculation of binary mass transfer coefficient under no mass transfer conditions. The VLE data required for determination of linking conditions at gas-liquid interface are evaluated through a cubic equation of state, with three adjustable parameters (Patel & Teja, 1982) which is capable of dealing with heavy hydrocarbons and polar substances. The algorithm is applied to a type TEMA BEU equipment, with two cooling water passes in lubesidc and shellside condensation. Two cases of hydrocarbon vapor mixtures containing either carbon dioxide or water arc investigated. Results for temperatures, vapor quality, heat flux and concentration profiles arc compared with the ones obtained through the condensation curve method.
