摘要

The two-phase flow ejector is one of the most important equipment which can utilize the lost kinetic energy at expansion process and increase the coefficient of performance of the refrigeration cycle. In ejector refrigeration cycles, flow fields in the ejector involve both a subsonic single-phase refrigerant (suction flow) and a supersonic two-phase and liquid refrigerant (driving flow). Within these flow fields, shock and expansion waves can occur that affect the performance of the ejector; therefore, ejector designs must consider such effects. In this study, the shock waves generated in flow fields with different speeds of sound are researched analytically by changing the momentum relaxation times. We successfully made oblique shock waves which occur in the flow field with two-phase flow and single phase flow, even though single-phase gas flows were subsonic. This is achieved by increasing the relaxation time in two-phase flows beyond that of the equilibrium state. The results of this study provide clues that can help us better understand flow phenomena in the mixing section of the ejector.
