摘要

UiO-66 is a promising adsorbent for CO2 capture due to its excellent thermal and chemical stability, low temperature adsorption and able to tolerate water vapor in flue gas. In the applications, adsorbent was processed to solid particles with a certain shape and a certain hardness firstly, then was used to the large-scale fixed-bed reactor systems. Hence, the processing of UiO-66 pellets is a necessary step, and the processing conditions have an important effect on the hardness and pore structure. In this work, with various mass ratio of pore-forming agent and binders, UiO-66 pellets were fabricated with a mould by using UiO-66 powder. The UiO-66 pellet samples was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), specific surface area and porosity analyzer, microcomputer control universal testing machine and thermogravimetric analyzer. The results showed that the pellets synthesized with 20 wt% diatomite as binder and 20 wt% NH4HCO3 as pore-forming agent had a higher BET surface area (473.57 m2·g-1) and a better CO2 adsorption recovery (48.5%), coupled with enough highcompressive strength (14.35 MPa) under 45 °C, 101 KPa with a molding pressure 25 MPa. In addition, It appealed that the adsorption capacity of pellets only decreased by 6.5% after 6 cycles of regeneration, compared with that of UiO-66 powder which declined by 9.2% on CO2 uptake. These results indicate that the fabricated pellets had a stable CO2 adsorption capacity, desirable mechanical strength and were easy to be scaled up, indicating the promising use for industrial application.
