POST BURNOUT HEAT TRANSFER AND THERMODYNAMIC DISEQUILIBRIUM UP TO THE CRITICAL PRESSURE
Abstract
The work shows the experimental results about the heat transfer coefficient in post burnout conditions up to the critical pressure with freon 12 upward in tubular, uniformly heated ducts. The heat transfer coefficient and the degree of superheating was systematically tested against various leading parameters like the vapor quality, the mass flowrate and the reduced pressure. All the research provides results for once-through heat exchangers as, for instance, the steam generators in sodium cooled fast reactor plants.
