Abstract

The vapour to coolant conjugate heat transfer during condensation of flowing vapour on a horizontal tube is numerically analyzed over a wide range of relevant parameters. Based on these numerical results, an equivalent resistance network model is proposed to predict the heat transfer rate. The validity of this model is confirmed by the experiments with refrigerant R-113 and by the available data for steam.
