Abstract

This paper presents the results of the investigation of cryogenic liquids (nitrogen and helium) boiling crisis with different geometry heaters made of different metals. It is shown that the magnitude of the critical heat flux increases with the increase of the complex √(ρck) of heating surface material as well as with the increase of heater thickness. The boundary of the influence zone of a flat horizontal surface size on the critical heat flux is established.
