Abstract

A method is described for transposing critical heat flux data obtained on channels operating under heat flux controlled conditions to channels of equivalent geometry operating under temperature controlled conditions. The application of the method is demonstrated with a numerical example where the location of the dryout region and the axial temperature distribution have been determined for a steam generating channel of a sodium heated evaporator.
