Abstract

Measurement of temperature and velocity fluctuations in the slightly heated wake behind the trailing edge of a flat plate were carried out by using hot-wire anemometers. Conditional zone averages of both mean and fluctuating quantities described the behavior of the flow of both inside and outside of the turbulent-non-turbulent interface. Measurements of the local transport quantities uv and reveal that the wake structure is not in full similarity even at the last downstream station.
