LOCAL COHVECTIVE-HEAT-TRANSFER COEFFICIENTS FOR JETS IMPINGING ON A PLATE; EXPERIMENTS USING A LIQUID-CRYSTAL TECHNIQUE
Abstract
A measuring technique using liquid crystals suspended in a polyacrylate resin has been developed to determine the coefficients of local heat transfer from a heated surface to an impinging turbulent jet. The influence of turbulence in the area around the stagnation point was easy to measure.
