Abstract

This work is a report of investigation on nocturnal radiation made by employing an improved new differential radiometer which consists of two detector disks of identical construction but with different emissivities of their surface. The difference between the energies supplied to the detector disks in order to keep them at the same working temperature makes it possible to evaluate the radiative exchange entirely eliminating the effects of conduction and convection. The analysis of the observation data leads to finding out a good correlation between the net radiation and the air temperature and water vapour pressure at the earth's surface under clear sky conditions.
