Bubble dynamics and heat transfer in mixture boiling
This paper presents a review of predictive methods of heat transfer coefficient in nucleate boiling of mixtures and of critical heat flux. Mechanisms responsible for reduced heat transfer coefficient of mixtures are mentioned. Bubble behavior is also referred as boiling heat transfer is basically affected by bubble dynamics. Assessment of heat transfer correlations based on data set of various binary mixtures and refrigerant ternary mixtures qualifies which type of correlations are of general use and thereby which mechanism is contributed to heat transfer reduction in mixture boiling. Predictive methods of critical heat flux and mechanism of composition dependency are discussed.
