Abstract

The paper presents results of the experimental investigation of pressure drop for flow of boiling subcooled water and steam-water mixture flowing in tubes and annular channels. Formula was obtained to calculate pressure drop for flow of a boiling subcooled water in tubes. The results of experimental research of pressure drop for flow of steam-water mixture show, that the whole quality region may be divided into characteristic regions according to dependance of pressure drop with quality. The effect of heat flux an pressure drop at different qualities is not the some, which, obviously caused by different flow patterns heat and mass transfer mechanisms. Formulae are given for determining pressure drops, both in unheated and heated tubes and annular channels in the region of low qualities.
