Abstract

In this paper the experimentai investigations of local heat transfer coefficient of tubes with spiral fins are presented. The distribution of values of heat transfer coefficient around the finned-tube and along the height of the fin are given and the influence of the pitch on the heat transfer are given too. The investigations were carried out in the cross flow with the finned tube in staggered tube bank and with single finned tube too. The Reynolds number range covered was from 4.8×104 to 7.6×105. Alongside with this were made an experimental measurements of irregularity coefficient of the heat transfer over the fin surface. In variation of parameter from 0.3 to 3.0 the irregularity coefficient changing from 0.8 to 0.94 obtained. In this range of parameter βh this ψ may be determined as ψ = 0.97-0.056 βh .
