Abstract

The results of surface active agents influence on pool boiling and condensation are presented. Octadecylamine was used as SAA because it reduces surface tension of water, forms the hydrophobic film on the solid surface, is corrosion inhibitor, thermally resistant, has the low destruction level, is volatile agent, has detergency. It was shown that ODA microadditives lead to growth of heat transfer because of changing in kinetics of vapour formation. At the increase in pressure and the heat flux density growth the ODA influence effect decreases. ODA influence on critical heat flux and heat transfer increasing due to its detergency effect. Results of investigations of heat transfer at steam condensation with SAA microadditives were discussed. It was shown experimentally that heat transfer level is approximately 3 times higher with ODA additives because of dropwise condensation.
