Jet impingement heat transfer is a very effective technique for exchanging high heat fluxes between a solid wall and a fluid. This paper provides an up-to-date overview of the available open literature, with regard to the heat transfer with liquid jet in single-phase forced convection. The main results are reported and compared with one another and subjects for future research are suggested.
