Abstract

The present paper deals with the method and findings of research into thermal modes of powerful electronic devices (semiconductor converters) in which a natural convection of cooling air occurs. The research was performed using the numerical method based on the two-dimensional conjugate model of heat transfer and the applied program package developed by the authors. Math matical statement of the problem includes the set of the Navier−Stokes equations and energy equation. The findings are presented as temperature dependences appropriate for the case considered and as a flow field in the design range.
