Abstract

The non-linear kinetic model equation is solved numerically to simulate the vapor behaviors on the liquid vapor interface. The analytical solution of the linearized Navier-Stokes equations subjected to the temperature and pressure jumps boundary conditions is also obtained. The both solutions are in good agreement for the small pressure and temperature ratios at the vapor-liquid interface. The comparison with the recent experiments is carried out and the magnitude of the temperature jumps calculated numerically is found comparable with some measured values of the temperature jumps.
