Abstract

Based on the design theory of wind turbine and hydraulic turbine and parametric design, an air turbine applied to SCPPVC system is designed, the performance of air turbine rotor design is calculated by using the method of numerical simulation and wind tunnel experiment, and dynamic and gas characteristics of the air turbine are obtained. According to the results, the blade design in the SCPPVC system has showed good aerodynamic characteristics, the optimum leaf number was 7, the optimal ratio of tip speed is 1.8 and the turbine is applicable to a range of wind speeds which should not exceed 9m/s, and we have obtained the function relationship between turbine power and wind speed, pressure difference and blade number.
