Abstrakt

The experimental results of the frictional pressure drop, the beginning of a surface boiling and disappearence of subcooling in the flow core are presented for boiling forced flow of subcooled water in a horizontal 11.48 mm I.D. tube at pressure of 29.4, 68.7, 98.0 and 147 bars.
The results of comparison of measured frictional pressure drop are presented for both non-equilibrium and equilibrium two-phase flows at identical steam quality and under otherwise equal conditions.
