Abstrakt

The results of investigations of two-phase nozzle flows (water-steam mixtures) are reported. It is shown, that two-phase flow in convergent-divergent nozzles remains subsonic at low mixture quality even under supersonic pressure drop and that momentum transfer between gas phase and droplets is the most important transport process in nonequilibrium two-phase flows. It is shown also that liquid temperature at nozzle exit is higher than equilibrium and that liquid velocity is much lower than steam one
