Abstrakt

This paper presents a study of the effect of heater wall dynamics on density-wave oscillations in a boiling channel. A novel nodal frequency-domain analysis scheme was developed and utilized in this study. It was found that the effect of heater wall inertia, heater geometry and axial power distribution, were significant. This implies that the heated wall(s) must be accurately modelled in the linear stability analyses of boiling channels.
