INFLUENCES OF UPSTREAM INJECTION AND INTERMEDIATE PANEL TEMPERATURE ON MULTIPLE SLOT FILM COOLING
Abstrakt
Experimental measurements of film cooling performance are presented for the region downstream of a pair of flush, angled injection slots separated by an intermediate heat transfer surface. The measurements cover nine combinations of upstream and downstream blowing rates for each of six combinations of downstream and intermediate surface lengths. An analytical framework is derived based on the governing linear boundary layer energy equation, and the experimental results are presented within this framework. The results are also compared with predictions based on a superposition of single slot film cooling effectiveness.
