Abstrakt

This paper considers the problem of heat transfer by combined convection and radiation in a viscous, conducting, absorbing, emitting, and scattering medium flowing over a flat plate. A finite difference solution is obtained using the differential approximation for the radiation flux equation together with the appropriate energy equation. Numerical results, obtained by an iterative technique, show the influence of the ratio of conduction to radiation, the distance along the plate, the albedo of scattering and the magnitude of the wall and free stream temperatures on the dimensionless temperature and heat flux distributions.
