Abstrakt

Experimental investigation of the mean flow and temperature fields as well as the turbulence intensity field of the turbulent heated confined jer has been carried out. On the basis of these data the thermal dynamic and turbulent development of the heated confined jet has been discussed. The results indicate that turbulent and thermal developments of jet are more intense than the dynamic one. This is more significant at higher values of mixed flow Renumber and for greater values of the velocity ratio (m).
The combined effects of thick lip and fully developed jet flow produce the more intense developing of coaxial jet in confined flow comparing to the case when jet nozzle's lip is sharp and initial jet velocity is uniform. The applied two-equation k−ε model of turbulence, s able to predict the flow patterns in confined jets.
