Abstrakt

Measurements of mass velocity of water drops (and formed vapour) in unheated (and heated) 20 mm internal diameter tube with air turbulent flow are made. For unheated tube, a mean droplet diameter was measured. During experimental testing the air velocity varied from 70 to 140 m/s, the water flow rate from 3 to 15 g/s, the heat flux reached 380 kW/m2. The results obtained here are analysed and compared with other experimental data. Theoretical models for prediction of roll waves formation, liquid entrainment and equilibrium liquid film flow are proposed.
