Abstrakt

Flow parameters such as mean flow velocity , temperature and turbulence intensity along center line and wall static pressure along duct's wall are analysed in order to indicate the behavior of the turbulent confined heated jet. The experimentally obtained results have been compared with the results of other experimentators as well as with the results of numerical experiment on the basis of a TEACH computer program using the twoequation k−ε model of turbulence. It is necessary to point out that the combined effects of thick nozzle lip and fully developed jet flow produce the more intense spreading of coaxial heated jet in confined flow comparing to the case when jet nozzle's lip is sharp and initial jet velocity profile is uniform.center-line and wall parameters are nice indicators for analysis of the thermal, dynamic and turbulent mixing of the heated confined jet.
