Abstrakt

The visual research results of regimes of two-phase swirl flow in coil tubes, annular channels with spiral wire coiling and tubes with various twisted tape inserts are presented. Visualization was carried out at adiabatic air-water flow in channels with transparent wall at relatively small gauge pressure (10-200 kPa). The slug, wave, annular, disperse and cord regimes of two-phase swirl flow have been revealed. Dependences for calculation of boundary lines for annular and disperse flows are gained. The maps of two-phase flow regimes in these channels are drawn. The features of swirl flow depending on the type and the shape of the channel, on a relative mass content and on a mass flow rate are presented too. The main feature of structure of two-phase flow in tubes with twisted tape insert is that the liquid phase part always moves in a form of a cord across the central part of a tape which is not an active heat transfer surface.
