Abstrakt

Steam is widely used heat source in the industrial field. Because steam has several advantages such as large heat capacity and stable latent heat exchange. Also, industrial waste heat requires additional energy for cooling process before release. By introducing a heat pump system, it can recover heat from waste water with moderate temperature. However, many heat pump studies using industrial waste heat are limited to hot water generation. When boiling water by heat pump, since not all the water (secondary fluid) passing through the condenser boils, water circulates to reheat before and after condenser which is plate heat exchangers. Flash tank is widely used as reservoir of two-phase water before and after condenser of the heat pump. The properties of the water are related to condensing pressure of heat pump, and it affects the total performance of steam generation heat pump. In this study, a lab-scale steam generation heat pump experiments are conducted. As a result, the introduction of internal heat exchanger increased heat amount and COP. The performance of the heat pump is verified in this study according to the changes of the flow rate and pressure of secondary fluid. Pressurizing the flash tank lowered the COP. Increasing evaporator water mass flow rate increased COP.
