Sinopsis

The operating data and construction examples of original membranless ground heat exchangers are presented. The exchangers are applied for gaining the natural energy from the ground at shallow depths for air conditioning purposes (cold in summer and heat in winter). The investigations concern the exchangers being used for 8 and 10 years. The energy effects at the summer and winter peaks are expressed by the ratio 1 to 30 (1 kW of inwested power gives 30 kW and even more). These effects are obtained by means of a very simple device, made of easy available and low energy-consuming materials (e. g. gravel, rock, insulation). The developed system enables placing the optional heat exchanger without taking up the useful surface area over it. Under the Mid-European conditions, at the summer peaks air is cooled down to 10−12 ° (e.g. from +32 ° to +20 °C) and in winter time it is preheated from −20 °C to 0 °C.
