Sinopsis

A mechanism of heat transport inside a porous coating has been analyzed and a heat transfer model for boiling on a surface with the porous coating has been presented. A new method of experimental investigation was developed and used to obtain data on permeability of porous structures in counterflow of liquid and vapour. A mathematical description of heat transfer in boiling was presented. Numerical solving the problem provided temperature fields in the porous layer and the influence of porous structure characteristics on heat transfer. Peculiarities of the burn out on the porous surface were analyzed and increase in the critical heat flux boiling on the porous surface were explained.
