Sinopsis

The paper deals with the description of basic elements of mathematical models incorporated in the KUPOL - series codes and designated to evaluate the velocity and temperature fields and the concentration of the components of the medium in containment compartments during LOCA accidents. The problems related to closing equations are being discussed . The results calculated using a two- and one-dimensional and multipoint model are presented in comparison with the test data obtained on physical models of volumes of 1 m3 , 100 m3 and S200 m3 at a steam flow rate up to 1000 kg/hr.
