Sinopsis

A problem of condensation of multicomponent gas mixtures plays an important role in many fields of modern technology. These are both the processes in which the composition of a gas phase is of basic interest, while the transition of particles into a condensed phase is a factor that allows one to control the concentration of components in the gas phase (as exemplified by cryotrapping (Minaichev, 1976)) and the processes, in which of main interest is the composition of a condensed phase (for example, the production of the condensate layers of certain composition (Sagitov, 1982)). It should be noted that in some cases (e. g., in laser-assisted vacuum deposition) a substance deposition occurs at rather large deviations from the equilibrium conditions.
When the concentration of components in the formed condensate is determined, use is often made either of relations, which are valid only for the conditions of equilibrium (when the number of evaporating molecules is equal to that condensing) or the other limiting case when the evaporation of the impurity component molecules from the condensate is not taken into account at all. The actual conditions of condensation may lie between these limiting cases.
The above mentioned shows the necessity for the investigation of the process of the substance deposition from gas mixtures on the basis of molecular-kinetic approach.
