Résumé

This paper deals about the influence of the Theological parameters "elasticity" and "variable viscosity" on heat transfer. Based on the model of a rectangular cavity with differentially heated side walls and adiabatic top and bottom a Fortran-program has been developed to simulate a two dimensional transient heating/cooling process under consideration of the influences mentioned above. Experiments like temperature measurements by holografic interferometry and velocity measurements by Laser-Doppler anemometry support the theoretical work. It was found that elasticity or thermal and/or stress dependent viscosity do not influence the heat transfer relevantly. Only the combination of elasticity and variable viscosity shows a difference compared with usual results. That is why for a wide range of common fluids the classical heat-transfer-power-laws can also be used.
