Résumé

An intermediate wavy region od liquid/ vapour mixture is introduced between the liquid film and the vapour core. The universal velocity profiles suggested by Prandtl are valid for all the three regions. The intermediate zone is characterised by equal liquid and vapour velocity at the particular distance from the wall. The properties of the mixture, in particular, the density and viscosity are varied linearly from liquid properties to vapour properties from the bottom to the top of the waves.

This model takes into account the variation in interface structure and gives different values for the heat transfer coefficient for different wave amplitudes.
