Résumé

Various models available for the analysis of annular two phase flow are one dimentional and are based on a combination of empirical correlations. In order to reduce the dependence on empirical correlations, a two dimensional model has been developed for tha analysis of annular two phase flow. This model is based on the solution of two dimensional continuity, momentum and energy equations for tubular geometry using thin shear layer approximations. It predicts dryout for the case of both uniform and nonuniform axial heat flux distribution. The predictions compare well with experimental data obtained from both steam-water and Preon-Preon vapour systems. Even the upstream dryout is predicted by the model.
