TURBULENT FLOWS OF GAS MIXTURE UNDERGOING EQUILIBRIUM AND NONEQUILIBRIUM REACTIONS IN A CONCURRENT DOUBLE PIPE HEAT EXCHANGER
Résumé
A numerical procedure has been applied to study concurrent double pipe turbulent flows of equilibrium mixtures of N2O4 ↔ 2NO2 and nonequilibrium mixtures of 2NO2 ↔ 2NO + O2. The data calculated by direct numerical solution of the parabolic conservation equation are compared with those obtained through an onedimensional method in which all fluid properties are uniform across the flows.
