Résumé

By the methods of the similarity theory an analysis has been made of the system of linear ferrohydrodynamic equations in the Boussinesa approximation as applied to the problems of convective stability of magnetizable fluids with consideration made for perturbations of the magnetic field. Dimensionless criteria, A1, A2, A3, have been developed having a clear physical meaning and determining thermal convection in magnetic fluids. Conditions for applicability of the approximation of constant coefficients have been established. By an example of thermoconvective instability of a magnetic fluid in longitudinal, Hx(z), and transverse, Hz(z), constant gradient magnetic fields, the contribution of magnetic perturbations has been analysed. It appears that magnetic disturbances (perturbations) introduced by temperature fluctuations either increase the limiting values of the characteristic parameters or change the structure of critical motions which depends on direction of the equilibrium magnetic field.
