THE CALCULATION OF CONVECTIVE HEAT TRANSFER IN COMPLEX FLOW SYSTEMS
Résumé
Numerical methods of solving the partial differential equations of fluid and heat flow are now capable of predicting the local conductances in heat-transfer equipment, and
the convective interactions between different parts of the equipment. Examples are cited in the paper, and applications to the design of cooling towers, steam condensers,
furnaces and nuclear reactors are discussed.
