Experimental determination of the thermal contact resistance and the local heat partition coefficient at the interface of two solids in dry friction
Résumé
We propose an experimental study aiming to determine the thermal contact parameters characterizing the heat exchange at the interface of solids in dry friction. The experimental device is constituted of two hollow cylinders of which one is smooth and the other is notched. This configuration permits to study the phenomena of macro-constriction for which it exist of the theoretical models in the literature. The contact is
modeled by two macroscopic parameters (the thermal contact resistance and the local heat partition coefficient). It is the first time that an experimental study permits to determine these parameters simultaneously.
