Résumé

The mechanism of heat transfer in a fluidized bed has been investigated. Heat transfer is considered to be an unsteady state phenomenon, largely dependent on the overall bed circulation, which shows a stick- and-slip-flow character. Values of the heat transfer coefficient have been measured with a heating band and an N.T.C.-resistor. The heat transfer turns out to be a periodical function of time. The period could be measured from the fluctuations in the temperature, the static pressure and the shear stresses. The experimental results are compared with the theoretical values given by the equation of Mickley, Fairbanks and Hawthorn.
