Résumé

The paper presents the results of experimental studies of local heat transfer and fluid dynamics for two types of confined swirling flows, near plane surfaces of a curvilinear convergent channel with a rectangular cross section and a vortex chamber with a tangential supply. The swirling flows considered are characterized by curvilinear streamlines and a spatial nature of the flow with the secondary flow towards the curvature center.
The conditions for physical similarity have been formulated. The similarity equations allowing for the effect of the swirling of flow and the spatial nature of the boundary layer·include two dimensionless parameters εφ and εθ:. The physical structure of both types of flow is studied, that is, the distribution of rotational and radial velocities, the swirling angle over the boundary layer height, and the fluctuation intensity. The effect of external turbulence,injection through a porous wall, and the slit film cooling at the inlet were investigated for the rectangular channel.
